Ministry: State of Czech woman wounded in Egypt is critical

The condition of the Czech woman who was wounded in an attack on tourists at the Egyptian resort Hurghada ten days ago suddenly worsened in the past two days and it is critical, the Czech Health Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.

STAN wants to run independently

A crushing majority of the Mayors and Independents' (STAN) national committee is for the movement running independently in the Czech general elections to be held on October 20-21, its chairman Petr Gazdík said on Tuesday.

KDU-ČSL criticises STAN's decision to run solo in elections

Tuesday's decision of the Mayors and Independents (STAN) to run in the Czech general election solo and not with the Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) means an unnecessary splitting of forces and the threat of a one-party monopoly, the KDU-CSL has said in a press release sent to CTK.

State compensates nurse for unrightful murder charges

Czech nurse Vera Maresova, whom a court acquitted of murder of six patients in the hospital in Rumburk, north Bohemia, last year, will be granted financial compensation for the unrightful charges, Justice Ministry spokeswoman Tereza Schejbalova told CTK on Monday.

Prague should condemn Hungary, Poland's attack on democracy

Constitutional Court recognises two men as child's parents

Respekt: Many insect species dying out, other in danger in ČR

Gov't rejects KDU/STAN's proposal to put off last EET phases

Prague to give CZK 24 million to Libyan coast guard operation
