Justice Minister Robert Pelikan (ANO) visited Lebanese agent Ali Fayad in prison and let him use his ministerial mobile phone, the Czech Radio Radiozurnal reported on Tuesday, referring to information from three trustworthy sources.

One in four Czechs follows developments of Syrian conflict

Only 26 percent of Czechs follow the development of the armed conflict in Syria that started six years ago, but a majority of Czechs support the participation of their country in dealing with the situation, according to the latest CVVM poll released on Tuesday.

ForMin: Czech delegation should speak of 1968 invasion in Russia

The Czech delegation led by President Milos Zeman that is visiting Russia this week should talk about the distorted view of the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia that appeared on the website of the Russian army TV network Zvezda, Czech Foreign Minister Lubomír Zaorálek said on Twitter on Tuesday.

Court rejects complaint against Zeman not naming professor

The Constitutional Court (US) rejected the complaint by physicist Ivan Ostadal and Charles University against alleged inactivity of Czech President Milos Zeman who did not appoint Ostadal professor, US judge rapporteur Vojtech Simicek said on Monday.

Former dissident ends hunger strike in protest against Zeman

Former dissident and post-Communist interior minister Tomáš Hradílek has ended his hunger strike against President Miloš Zeman's bid for re-election after 17 days under pressure of his family, his daughter Simona Hradílkova told ČTK. Hradílek is now in care of doctors and started taking food gradually.
