Prague ranks second in InterNations Expat City Ranking 2017

Manama takes the first position out of 51 cities in this year's Expat City Ranking. The small capital of the Arab monarchy Bahrain, as well as top-ranking Madrid (3rd) and Kuala Lumpur (4th), are highly appreciated for the ease of getting settled in these cities. Prague (2nd) rather attracts expats with its excellent work life.

Národní comes alive November 17

November 17 is now a national holiday called Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day, marking both the Velvet Revolution of 1989 and student demonstration against the German occupation in 1939. The biggest commemoration of the day in Prague is at Národní třída and náměstí Václava Havla, where the street and square will be closed off all day.

Parisian-based painters, sculptors, and poets who were neighbors sharing a common garden in the suburb of Puteaux were known as the Section d’Or or Groupe de Puteaux. The Museum Kampa in Prague brings many of these artists to the Czech Republic.

New building projects must be energy efficient
