ČT, ČRo to broadcast political debates before elections

The public Czech Television (CT) and Czech Radio (CRo) will broadcast political discussions before the October 20-21 general election and debates with party leaders will also be presented by private media, such as the Blesk.cz website and the Seznam.cz server.

Record 7,539 candidates running in October elections

Over 7,500 candidates want to run in the October 20-21 election to the Chamber of Deputies, according to the data released by the Czech Statistical Office on Tuesday. This means that one seat in the 200-member lower house is contested by almost 38 candidates.
