Finance Minister Andrej Babiš said that yesterday's extraordinary session of the Chamber of Deputies, staged by mainstream parties and dealing with audio recordings with a controversial debate between him and a journalist, is another attempt by his foes to "execute him in live transmission."

Luxembourg finds a multi-speed EU better than a still standing Europe, Luxembourg PM Xavier Bettel said after meeting his Czech counterpart Bohuslav Sobotka yesterday, adding that internal discussion is important in the EU and that he welcomes the upcoming Benelux-Visegrad Four (V4) summit.

Babiš openly lies, abuses power, Chamber of Deputies announces

Finance Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) repeatedly openly lied and abused his media in order to discredit his political rivals, the Chamber of Deputies agreed today at an extraordinary session dealing with audio recordings that seem to show Babiš's interferences into media reporting.

Gov't talks with Zeman bring no solution to crisis

The evening talks of the heads of the three Czech ruling parties with President Miloš Zeman did not bring any solution to the current political crisis, Christian Democrat (KDU-ČSL) chairman and Social Democrat (ČSSD) deputy chairman Milan Chovanec told journalists last night. The ČSSD and the KDU-ČSL insist that Finance Minister Andrej Babiě must leave the government, they said.
