PM Sobotka to meet Bavarian leader Seehofer in Prague

Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka will meet Bavarian Minister President Horst Seehofer in Prague on May 3 to discuss transport modernisation, economy, cooperation in science, research and education, and also cultural exchange, the Government Office told ČTK yesterday.

FinMin Babiš, President Zeman to meet next week

Finance Minister and ANO movement head Andrej Babiš will have a meeting with President Miloš Zeman in the days to come, Zeman's spokesman Jiří Ovčáček told ČTK today, confirming the information of Neovlivni.cz and adding that the meeting has been initiated by Babiš.

ForMin: Czech MPs' Armenian genocide resolution not binding

Czech diplomacy has assured Turkey that the Czech Chamber of Deputies' Armenian genocide resolution from Tuesday is not legally binding and that it is the cabinet, not lawmakers, who is responsible for Prague's foreign policy, the Foreign Ministry told ČTK yesterday.

Poll: Zeman trusted by 55% of people, cabinet by 40%

President Miloš Zeman is trusted by 55% of people now, the same as in March, while trust in the coalition government has increased by 5 percentage points to 40%, according to a public opinion poll CVVM conducted in April and released yesterday.
